Tips and Pointers

If your child doesn't like to read don't force them.

If your child is having difficulty learning facts, etc. use index cards.

To help your child study for exams, make up games or stories.

Start small. If your child needs to learn a large amount of material, break
it down.

Study at least 30 minutes a day.

Read at least 15 minutes a day.

Set a time to study & do homework every night.

Set goals & time frames.

Have a contract & reward system with your child.

When writing a research paper, follow these steps: pick topic & outline
it. Go to the library, internet, newspapers, magazines, textbooks, interviews (both written & first hand) to
get your information.
